rf_kill is killing me

hi all I have just installed Ubuntu 8.04 on a laptop with a Intel 2200BG card my laptop has a hardware button to enable/disable the wifi cards power, however this isn't working in 8.04 I can't for the life of me set rf_kill to 0 it is constantly set to 2 (or 3 if I cat 1 > rf_kill) I have tried setkeycodes to map the keycode of the wifi hardware button...but this does nothing any tips out there? cheers heaps dazza ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
