In LUGRo-Mesh we use it for the firmware that we created for our
Wireless Mesh Network.
We choose Atheros devices because of the possibility that MadWifi
gives of using VAPs.

No, because we use devices with an AHB bus. It's not supported in
ath5k, and our devices are not 802.11 N.
