I was one of the early adopters of the ath5k drivers and wrote the original 
DEBUG regdomain patch to support all possible frequencies (4920 to 6100GHz
and 2312 to 2732GHz. It can be really useful to detect rogue microtik routers.)

The patch has been greatly improved by Zero Chaos and others but 2.6.30 
broke it again. I am not sure this patch will ever be accepted so I might just
backport it to madwifi.

Last time I tried ath5k I had problems trying to set the txantenna, 
rxantenna and diversity registers. In madwifi, this is done via the sysctl interface.
