Using it with D-Link DWL-G520 pci wireless card on Debian Testing
running on an old machine working as a router and access point. I am
using this driver specifically to make the card work in ap mode (master
mode?).

My lspci for this card is:

00:11.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. Atheros
AR5001X+ Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)

And this driver is the only reason I am stuck with kernel 2.6.26-2-686
in Debian since I learned that the driver is not included in newer kernels.

No, not yet. But I would like to. The reason is that I have not really
found a how-to web page that shows how to use this driver with my card
to make an access point. The moment I get this information, I intend to
try the new drivers ASAP.
