Turbo Mode and Turbo Channels

I have a question regarding turbo mode configuration. I know that madwifi only supports static turbo mode. It seems that I can only operate in turbo mode on channels that are labeled as static turbo mode (ie. as shown by the output of: wlanconfig ath0 list channels) 802.11g channel 6 is supposed to support turbo mode. However, my SuperG cards all show channel 6 as being a *dynamic* turbo channel, and not surpisingly, turbo mode will not work. On the other hand, I am able to get turbo mode working on the handful of 802.11a (5 GHz) channels that are shown as static turbo channels I've used the default countrycode, and also tried countrycode=0. No difference. So.... to my questions... Is channel 6 universally considered a dynamic turbo channel? Does that mean that madwifi cannot support 802.11g turbo mode? Is there any way to override channel 6 to be configured as a static turbo channel? Or is this hardware specific (and if so, are there cards known to support 802.11g static turbo on channel 6 with madwifi?) thanks, Marc ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Verizon Developer Community Take advantage of Verizon's best-in-class app development support A streamlined, 14 day to market process makes app distribution fast and easy Join now and get one step closer to millions of Verizon customers http://p.sf.net/sfu/verizon-dev2dev
