create / generate a new hal / public / xxxx.hal.o.uu file

I'm trying to cross compile madwifi-0.9.4 for target based on Ikanos VX160
SoC.
I'm using the following environment:
 - kernel 2.6.18.8;
 - uClibc snapshot 20050817
 - binutils 2.15
 - gcc 3.4.3

[madwifi-0.9.4]# make

The error is due to following missing files in the directory hal/public/:
 - mips-elf.inc
 - mips-elf.opt_ah.h
 - mips-elf.hal.o.uu

I created the .inc and .f files, but how can I do with the .o.uu file ?
If I create mips-elf.hal.o.uu by copying mips-be-elf.hal.o.uu compilation
ends with success, but what problems will there be?
