I am unable to configure madwifi to run in adhoc mode stably for long period of time. Long period of time meaning after 5 minutes or so..if for experiment purposes, I disconnect the link between two nodes in adhoc mode using madwifi, then if I try to reconnect them, no matter what I do..one node could never ping another node in adhoc setting. Do anybody have any issues with madwifi (ath_pci) and adhoc mode communication?
Thanks.

Yes. I have also observed the issue long back and had disabled the same.
Did not strike, that you may be facing the same issues, network manager
scripts has no support for AP configurations and makes changes in the
interface initialization scripts in undesired ways.
