Madwifi-users, During some testing related to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=620160 I encountered a compile issue with http://www.orbit-lab.org/kernel/compat-wireless-2.6/2010/07/wireless-2010-07-31.tar.bz2 on Fedora 13 with kernel 2.6.33.6-147.fc13.x86_64. The compile stops with the following error. CC [M] /tmp/compat/compat-wireless-2010-07-31/net/wireless/core.o /tmp/compat/compat-wireless-2010-07-31/net/wireless/core.c:926: warning: ‘struct va_format’ declared inside parameter list /tmp/compat/compat-wireless-2010-07-31/net/wireless/core.c:926: warning: its scope is only this definition or declaration, which is probably not what you want /tmp/compat/compat-wireless-2010-07-31/net/wireless/core.c: In function ‘__wiphy_printk’: /tmp/compat/compat-wireless-2010-07-31/net/wireless/core.c:937: error: storage size of ‘vaf’ isn’t known /tmp/compat/compat-wireless-2010-07-31/net/wireless/core.c:937: warning: unused variable ‘vaf’ /tmp/compat/compat-wireless-2010-07-31/net/wireless/core.c: In function ‘wiphy_debug’: /tmp/compat/compat-wireless-2010-07-31/net/wireless/core.c:972: error: storage size of ‘vaf’ isn’t known /tmp/compat/compat-wireless-2010-07-31/net/wireless/core.c:972: warning: unused variable ‘vaf’ make[3]: *** [/tmp/compat/compat-wireless-2010-07-31/net/wireless/core.o] Error 1 make[2]: *** [/tmp/compat/compat-wireless-2010-07-31/net/wireless] Error 2 make[1]: *** [_module_/tmp/compat/compat-wireless-2010-07-31] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/kernels/2.6.33.6-147.fc13.x86_64' make: *** [modules] Error 2 This report http://forum.ubuntu-nl.org/internet-en-draadloos/asus-eeepc-1001-px/msg632534/ suggests compat-wireless-2010-07-28.tar.bz2 has the same compile issue and it is not limited to Fedora 13. Just gambled and tried compat-wireless-2010-07-08.tar.bz2 which compiled with no issues. I'm not sure where between 2010-07-08 and 2010-07-28 the problem was introduced.
