Hi, this is using kernel 2.6.6 on an iBook G4 (first gen). The modem id is 0x05ac:0x8202. hcfusbconfig ends saying it didn't detect a modem. dmesg log: usb 2-2: new full speed USB device using address 2 usb 2-2: skipped 5 class/vendor specific endpoint descriptors usb 2-2: new device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=6 usb 2-2: default language 0x0409 usb 2-2: Product: Apple internal modem usb 2-2: Manufacturer: HCF USB V.90 Data/Fax Modem usb 2-2: SerialNumber: =0000001 usb 2-2: hotplug usb 2-2: adding 2-2:1.0 (config #1, interface 0) usb 2-2:1.0: hotplug hcfusbhw 2-2:1.0: usb_probe_interface hcfusbhw 2-2:1.0: usb_probe_interface - got id cnxtusbhcf_cnxt_serial_add: ComCtrlOpen failed (1) /usr/lib/hcfusbmodem/modules/osusb.c: FreeUrbList: unlinking ule e2b7a5d0 (urb dc3f0c18); was in state SUBMITTED usb 2-2: adding 2-2:1.1 (config #1, interface 1) usb 2-2:1.1: hotplug hcfusbhw 2-2:1.1: usb_probe_interface hcfusbhw 2-2:1.1: usb_probe_interface - got id GetDiagInstance: entry (0) already active!<3>cnxtusbhcf_cnxt_serial_add: ComCtrlOpen failed (1) /usr/lib/hcfusbmodem/modules/osusb.c: FreeUrbList: unlinking ule e2b7a5d0 (urb dc3f0cd8); was in state SUBMITTED I would have provided the output of a 'lsusb -v', but probably due to some other bug, lsusb hung my wifi adapter before telling about the modem ;-) -- Colin This message represents the official view of the voices in my head. _______________________________________________ %(real_name)s mailing list %(real_name)s@%(host_name)s %(web_page_url)slistinfo%(cgiext)s/%(_internal_name)s
