ERROR: no device detected by hsf driver

L.S.:
After an upgrade from Fedora Core 2 to Core 3 mt hsfmodem did work only 
one  more. Thereafter it failed with:
# hsfconfig --license
Conexant HSF softmodem driver, version 6.03.00lnxt04111500full

When reporting a problem for the first time, please send
us the file generated by "hsfconfig --dumpdiag".

ERROR: no device detected by hsf driver

I took new modules from the linuxant website. I installed a fresh kernel 
with 16k registers, but with no success.

I am dependent on using a modem regularly. Is there any solution? I 
attach the dump file
