Hi, you tried to use the version 7.18.00.07 of the HSF modem driver with a 2.6.12 kernel on a x86_64 system which is known to not work. Please try with the latest version of the HSF modem driver that you can download at: http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full/downloads.php In this new version, we have fixed this known problem. Since the HSF modem driver modules are now stuck in the kernel, we recommend that you use the following steps in this order to install the new version of the driver: * Uninstall the driver with the 'hsfconfig --uninstall' command in a root shell; * Reboot your system; * Install the latest version of the driver. Finally please note that the 'snd-intel8x0' module does not conflict with the modem driver, but the 'snd-intel8x0m' can be conflicting in some cases. The HSF modem driver should automatically prevent this module to be loaded in your kernel.
