FC5 with Intel 82801GBM ICH7-M

Using the latest HSF FC5 RPM with the latest FC5 kernel:

 hsfmodem-7.47.00.01full_k2.6.17_1.2145_FC5smp-1fdr.i686.rpm
 kernel-smp-2.6.17-1.2145_FC5

On a Dell Latitude Core Duo model D820 laptop, with an Intel 945PM mother board and an Intel 82801GBM ICH7 Mobile (ICH7-M) chipset, an Intel 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 01).  Scanmodem says the PCI Id is 8086:27d8 1028:01cc.

Install the HSF driver, reboot and see /dev/modem (ttySHSF0).  Connect with minicom and get no response from the modem.  Any ideas?
