still trying to debug

Hi all,

i'm using ubuntu edgy on a sony vaio sz1mb, kernel 2.6.17-6-686 but
can't know how to use the modem, even if i try to configure it with
hsfconfig the result is:
 sudo hsfconfig -i
Conexant HSF softmodem driver, version 7.47.00.03full

When reporting a problem for the first time, please send
us the file generated by "hsfconfig --dumpdiag".
