Hylafax: No response to PPS repeated 3 times.; too many attempts

Hi,
when I try to send a Fax with Hylafax 6.0.3 and my Conexant Modem (with
fully licensed Linuxant driver
<https://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full/archive/hsfmodem-7.80.02.05full/h
sfmodem_7.80.02.05full_i386.deb.zip> hsfmodem_7.80.02.05full_i386), Hylafax
returns a MODEM Command Error No response to PPS repeated 3 times.; too
many attempts. I Attached the complete Hylafax Send Log to this mail.
Is there something wrong with my configuration or is this a problem of the
modem driver?
