Re: unable to generate licence key

Hi,

in a message sent to support, we can see the following message when you 
install the RPM package:

---
No pre-built modules for: Fedora-12 linux-2.6.31.9-174.fc12.i686.PAE 
i686-SMP
---

Since we do not provide a pre-compiled package for that kernel, you will 
have to use a generic package of the driver available at:

http://www.linuxant.com/drivers/hsf/full/downloads.php#generic

In order to support a generic package, you need to have gcc and the 
kernel headers installed on your system. You can install them under 
Fedora using the following command in a root shell:

---
yum install gcc kernel-devel
---

Note that the driver will only generate a Registration ID if the kernel 
modules are loaded in your kernel and you have a supported device 
attached to the machine. Since you did install the wrong package for 
your kernel, this is why you can't get a Registration ID.
