I have the feeling that much of the functionality of the firmware went
into the windows driver, and the protocol for settings is very different,
so I gave up the idea of modifying the linux driver. 

I am now experimenting with ndiswrapper. After some modifications
it now loads the windriver, which loads the firmware but does not seem
to get an interrupt after reset..
