RE: prism on laptop

This is what my var/log/messages say

Btw: The card has a label saying its prism duette.

Check your kernel messages ("dmesg" command or "tail /var/log/messages")

to see what happened when you tried to load it.

BTW, do you really have a Duette?  That card is a GT I believe.
