WG511 Mandrake 10:help!

I have spent hours trying to configure that wireless card. Then I decided to subscribe to prism ml.

I installed the latest firmware at the right location (usr/lib/hotplug/firmware/)
I downloaded and untar the drivers.

Then, when using the command 'make clean modules, an error appears:
make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.3-4mdk/build entering an unknown directory make.
Error 2.

I can't manage to switch on the card light. Suppose I must solve the kernel compilation problem  before!

Any clue?
