802.1x authentication

Dear Prism54 users,

I would like to know if any of you have sucessfuly configured a SMC 2835 W card
to work in a wireless network that uses the 802.1x (in particular with
PEAP/MSCHAPV2) authentication protocol.

Does the driver have to suport 802.1x or is this done completely by some other
program like the XSupplicant? 

I am having problems with this card even in Windows, but using a Cisco card I
can authenticate without any problems...
