SMC ez connect g PC card crashed laptop

Hi all,

I'm having some problems setting up SMC EZ connect g card (smc2835w) on 
a Dell Latitude c800.

Setup: Fedora core 2 with a 2.6.8 stock kernel, firmware 1.0.4.3.

Problems:
1) The card keep lost the connection and unable to regain the link with 
AP (a SMC barricade g router)
2) When the link is up with the SMC card, the laptop freze after a 
while, no error message is observed in /var/log/message

Anyone encounter these problems?
