I bought an XG-900 PCI card from Zcomax for $89 and they gave me free shipping via UPS. I installed Ubuntu for AMD64 on my new Athlon64 box, plugged in the XG-900, followed the Ubuntu wireless howto, and it worked! The performance isn't very good, but I haven't experimented yet with different locations, putting on a high-gain antenna, tweaking the configuration, etc. I was planning to install this PCI card in my detached workshop which is 63 feet -- through two exterior walls -- from the Linksys WRT 54g basestation. I so hope I can increase the performance. Oh, do you want the FCC id of this card, or do you already have it. Thanks for the prism54 driver! :-) Regards, Zooko --- Please excuse terse writing -- there is a baby in my arms.
