Hi all, I happen to own an ibook running linux an airport extreme basestation (says it does 802.11g). Now I also have an old k6-2, which I want to connect to this basestation, but I hoped to get around putting 50m of cable in the house. Since my PCI slots are rather full (and I doubt I get a good connection since it's quite far to the basestation) I hoped there would be any 802.11g capable usb lan connectors around that work with linux. This seems to be a problem however. A prism based card seemed to be best supported but now I read on these softmac problems. And usb is not quite there yet it seems. However, I don't mind testing/patching the code a bit, as long as I can get it working within a few months. So, what kind of a card should I buy? Do the usb cards have the same softmac problems as the other cards? regards, danny
