rtl8139 cardbus driver

Hi,

I've got a cardbus rtl8139 driver, which doesn't work with the drivers out
of 2.4.18. I've downloaded the ones from

http://www.scyld.com/network/rtl8139.html

in order to try but modprobe gives

unresolved symbol unregister_driver
unresolved symbol register_driver

and fails to insert the module. Does the driver work with 2.4.18, or am I
missing another module or feature of the kernel?
