lrtl8139 cardbus RH 7.3

hi guys.
   I have a  problem making my RTL8139 cardbus card
work under Red Hat 7.3, kernel 2.4.18-3
   the driver 8139too does not seem to work:
    1) if I run scanpci, my card apppears there
    2) but there is only one bit a the system bootup.

Is it installed?
