2.4.20 Kernel and Realtek

I'm not even sure if this is the right place to ask this question... But I will try =)

I have been trying to update my kernel (Current 2.2.19) to 2.4.20... I have finally gotten it to boot correctly with the new kernel, but I cannot get my NIC working... It is a CardBus PCMCIA RTL8139 NIC... I'm not sure where the problem is... I do know that I cannot compile the realtek.o or realtek_cb.o driver =( I get errors out the wazoo... (skeleton.c?)

Is this even the right place to ask? I can put anythign together that is needed and I am eager to learn! (Linux is very cool! =)
