changing mac with RTL-8139

Hello,

I am running linux mandrake 9.1 and I want to change my mac address.
If config doesn't let me change it, even when I bring the interface down.
Is there a way I can get around this, maybe by downloading some other=20
driver.

If you don't know, would you refer me to a place where I can ask this=20
question?
