OK, then there is still a problem here.  I'm not certain what the effect
is of loading the wrong driver.

Put the machine on an active network.  We need to Rx at least a few
broadcast packets.

Looks normal -- we can read the NIC registers correctly.

And there are no obvious IRQ problems, which can frequently happen with
CardBus devices.
