Hi, everybody!
I=B4m a dummy Debian user and I=B4m trying to install the 8139too dri=
ver on
my Linux machine running the 2.4.18 kernel. My network card is one from
Allied Telesyn: AT-2500TX.
When I type
insmod ./8139too
I get
init_module: No such device
and the lspci -v shows
00:0d.0 Ethernet Controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139 (re=
v
10)
Subsystem: Allied Telesyn International: Unknown device 2503
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 10
I/O PORTS at ec00 [size=3D256]
Memory at ec000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=3D256]
Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2
What=B4s the problem? That=B4s "unknown device" doesn=B4t look good, =
but I
don=B4t know what it means. All this is new to me.
Thanks and happy new year!
J. Miguel
P.D.: sorry if I=B4ve made mistakes with my english.
