8139too + D-Link 690 + toshiba laptop = ARGH!

I'm sorry if this has been covered.  I went back 8 or 9 months in the
archive and saw nothing related to it, so I figured I'd try to ask.

I've got an old(er) Toshiba 2515CDS and a nice, shiny new D0Link DFE-690TXD
pcmcia ethernet card.  The 690 uses the realtek driver and for the most part
it works like a charm aside from the fact that I can't get a network
connection.  Hooray!

The system is running Debian 3.0r1 fresh install (and I can blow it away if
I need to).

With pcmcia started and the card in I get a link light and can see broadcast
traffic flashing the card LED.  I get device eth0 and can manually assign it
network params using ifconfig, though even when correct it says the network
is unreachable.

When I insert the card, I get the error:

PCI: No IRQ known for interrupt pin A of device 15:00:0.  Please try using
pci=biosirq.

When I load the module for the realtek driver, I get the following:

Installation Succeeded.

This tells me the card is recognized and loaded, but I think I've got an IRQ
conflict.  What parameters can I pass the module when loading to clear this
up?  Or what did I do wrong?

I'm not totally new to this, so techie answers are fine.  I'm just plain
stuck.

Any advice, solutions, links, insight, anything would be appreciated.
