Realtek Problems

I'm using Realtek 8139 on my windows XP computer.  Trying to connect to a 
server running Win2000.  However, I can't connect to the internet, nor can 
I connect to our server.  Data is being transmitted, but none is being 
received from the server.  Can't even ping the server!  Get the message 
Host Unreachable.  Help!  Downloaded the diagnostic from Realtek and it 
reports that the integrated NIC is working fine, but it isn't.

Can anybody help?
