Frames transmitted by RTL8139C contains all 0's

Hi All,

I am using RealTek RTL8139C chip in a mips IDT RC32334 based 
board.
My kernel version is 2.4.5-pre1.
The version of 8139too.c in my kernel is 0.9.16.
The Linux kernel sends some valid ARP packets during boot sequence 
(for NFS
mount).
The packets sent out of the RTL8139C are captured using sniffer. 
The
captured packets contain all 0's.

Can anyone help me in solving this problem?
