Now gspca_hlp installed from gspcav2-0.2.12:

cheese comes up with a notification window:

and R24 respond just twice with this output (i.e. not with 24 depth)
SPCA only works with SIF, the next four that is enabled does not work -
gives skew lines. (VGA, PAL and SPEC are disabled)


spcagui has the best setting with
VIDIOCSPICT brightnes=65024 hue=0 color=0 contrast=65024
whiteness=0depth=16 palette=3
Color has no effect (nor the button on the top of the camera - one day
you could add an event here?)
