Hello! A friend of mine has got a Logitech QC Connect cam which has been working seamlessly with the gspcav1 module. With gspcav2 it does not. What happens is the following: 2.6.27-gentoo-r7: - kernel detects cam, loads zc3xx driver - /dev/video0 present - Skype has dynamic garbage (not just white noise but some greenish crap) - Cheese shows a video test screen instead of the cam video 2.6.28-gentoo: - kernel detects cam, loads zc3xx driver - /dev/video0 present - Skype drops call after trying to start video (video window resizes then drops) - Cheese shows a video test screen dmesg from 2.6.28: gspca: main v2.3.0 registered gspca: probing 046d:08d9 zc3xx: probe 2wr ov vga 0x0000 zc3xx: probe sensor -> 11 zc3xx: Find Sensor HV7131R(c) gspca: probe ok usbcore: registered new interface driver zc3xx zc3xx: registered zc3xx: probe 2wr ov vga 0x0000 zc3xx: probe 2wr ov vga 0x0000 zc3xx: probe 2wr ov vga 0x0000 Please someone fix that... we liked the cam ;) Thanks, Sab ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net email is sponsored by: SourcForge Community SourceForge wants to tell your story. http://p.sf.net/sfu/sf-spreadtheword
