As I wrote earlier, loading the tulip.o driver that you gave me froze the
system. No panic or anything. Just dead.

So I thought I would try another thing:

I downloaded the 2.4.13 kernel source. I did a clean compile. Then I
replaced the tulip code with the new stuff you gave me and compiled that.
The same thing happens: system freeze.

I would be happy to compile the tulip 2.2 kernel driver (that works) on 2.4,
but there are some differences that are more involved than I know how to
change.

Any ideas?
