Fwd: Cogent/Adaptec ANA 6144 Problem

First off, please cc all answers to me as i'm not subscribed to the tulip
list.

I have an odd problem here with tulip drivers (kernel 2.4.20 as well as
drivers from scyld.com, I hope Jeff is reading here too, if not I'll contact
him as well).

I have a server (Tualatin PIII, MSI Board) with Debian woody and debian
 kernel 2.4.20-686(-smp) and a an Cogent/Adaptec ANA 6144 board (4 Ports).
When I plug my aDSL modem into the one Port and my internal net into the
 other this results in strange behaviour of the network. (When I connect
 using 2 RTL8139 everything works fine, so I think I can rule out other
network/hardware problems).

For example when I run "apt-get upgrade" the file transfer starts out pretty
fast and at a certain point, it stops and I get "data socked timed out"
error. Funny thing is: For example when installing libncurses5-dev it stops
at 41% (deterministic :)).

When I try to mount nfs-shares I sometimes get "RPC unable to receive".

I tried:
	driver from debian linux 2.4.20-686 (-smp)
	driver from scyld.com
	with and without noapic

Finally I'm at a loss :) what else can I try?
I appended tulip-diag -aa -ee output at the end of the mail.
