Hi All,

I'm new to this list so excuse the possible newbie post!

I've had a batch of lurverly Fujitsu Siemens Scenic PCs that i've duly
installed slakware linux on them. On all but one the tulip driver is running
the NICs without problems.
On the single machine thats causing problems i've tried everything, and now
starting to suspect a hardware issue, however I wanted to get a little
feedback on this from here if possible.

Evern 2-3 minutes the card seems to freeze, not accept any traffic in/out,
then suddenly start up again after about 30 seconds. The switch shows the
link as dropping then it re-negotiates back up to 100mb.

Machine data follows:

Linux version 2.4.20
Linux Tulip driver version 0.9.15-pre12 (Aug 9, 2002)
eth0: ADMtek Comet rev 17 at 0xe09a6000, 00:30:05:3B:A0:5C, IRQ 9.

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:05:3B:A0:5C
          inet addr:217.22.144.10 Bcast:217.22.144.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING PROMISC MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:24484 errors:108 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:216
          TX packets:18754 errors:3 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:6
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
          RX bytes:2775948 (2.6 Mb) TX bytes:3229527 (3.0 Mb)
          Interrupt:9 Base address:0x6000

Every time it bugs out, the errors increases.
Can anyone advise how to check the card more, etc. Or would my conclusion that
its a faulty nic ring true?

many thanks!
