The DMFE chip is very similar to the chips supported by the Tulip
driver, but there is a 'operationally significant issue' that made me
decide to not support it in the Tulip driver.  (Read that as "a serious
bug in the Rx CRC hardware".)  Rationally, the the Xircom and Davicom
chips should be supported by a single driver, perhaps named
flawed_tulip.c

The dmfe driver should be reworked to not disable IRQs or turn off
interrupts from the chip.  Doing the former is very slow on SMPs, and
disabling interrupts from the chip doesn't accomplish much when you
share IRQs.

But to answer the question, there is not an update that I'm aware of.
