I tried to get the driver version of tulip.o that was already installed 
on my SuSe 7.2 distro. When I typed 'tulip' in the helpcenter searchtool 
I found out that for some chips the driver does not work.
I did:
 > lspxi -v | grep Ether  
00:0a.0 Ethernet controller : Bridgecom, Inc : Unknown device 0985 (rev 11)

This was the message they warned me about and they gave a solution to 
download a file new-tulip.tar and untar it and put the files tulip.o and 
pci-scan.o in the right directory. The file pci-scan.o was not present 
at my system !
However, happy as I was, started Windows again to download the file, but 
it was not there !!

And so ... the version I still don't know, but we know its old (problem 
was reported already in SuSe 7.1)

As stated in tulip.c itself, first I did:
make KERNVER='uname -r' tulip.o
and then:
gcc -DMODULE -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -06 -c tulip.c

What should be my next step. Do you have a tarred bundle which installes 
tulip.o and pci-scan.o for me. I could not get a clear idea what to 
download from your webpage. That is my inexperience with Linux, but 
there it is. ... Could you point me in the right direction here.
