My suggestion would be to get 1U server from somewhere with a 64/100Mhz PCI
bus & riser and put in a 4-port Intel pro/1000 NIC.  You can use a 1GB CF disk for
the hard drive and do a regular Fedore Core X (or whatever) install.

I get my systems from www.ironsystems.com, but you can get them various other
places as well...
