I thought Urs was looking for an IVL switch, and as far as I know
you just can't get IVL switches for 350 EURO's...

And yes, I can hear the vent scream throughout the whole house
:-(. The 2524 is definitely SVL since I cannot have two adsl
modems connected to a single switch and use pppoe (german site).

Hmmm... maybe I stand corrected: you *can* get switches that have
some kind of IVL for about 60 euro:
Get a WRT54G or similar, and install openwrt on it.
Configure the ports for tagging.

I haven't tried how much these switches are real IVL, but reading
the documentation they should more or less be IVL.
