There are two onboard USB controllers, but several IRQ's in use, or so it
looks to me.  I don't know about the BIOS setting, I don't recall seeing
such a beast.

I was able to boot a recent version of Knoppix, and the nic worked without a
hitch, so I suspect this is simply related to the debian kernel that I've
got installed.
