Hmmm, I'm not certain why this message was added.  The "error" is just
stats full, an uncommon condition that should be handled out of the fast
path, but is expected in normal operation.

Check /proc/net/dev to make certain that this is only reporting normal
packet counters filling up, rather than error counters getting ready to
overflow.

This messages do not directly indicate an error.  In fact, they seem to
indicate no error, only normal operation.
