The "error" is just stats full, an uncommon condition that should be handled out of the fast path, but is expected in normal operation. Check /proc/net/dev to make certain that this is only reporting normal packet counters filling up, rather than error counters getting ready to overflow. > Before I unplugged my switch downstairs (now the server is going > straight up to the main switch) every time one of these errors > happened I would not be able to connect to the machine and all its > services (ssh, NFS etc) would be unavailable. Now only 1 in 3 or > 4 is doing the same thing. This messages do not directly indicate an error. In fact, they seem to indicate no error, only normal operation. -- Donald Becker [email protected] Scyld Computing Corporation http://www.scyld.com 914 Bay Ridge Road, Suite 220 Scyld Beowulf cluster system Annapolis MD 21403 410-990-9993 _______________________________________________ vortex mailing list [email protected] http://www.scyld.com/mailman/listinfo/vortex
