Your Scyld system is based on Red Hat 6.2: I tried compiling the 3c90x Linux driver under RedHat 8.0 Linux and openMosix from sources on the 3COM CD that came with the NIC, but was unsuccessful. I also downloaded the latest version of the 3c90x driver from the 3COM web site and was unsuccessful compiling that too. However, I compiled the 3c2000 driver from the 3COM CD and installed it successfully on the same system. Is the Scyld 3c590x driver not recommended for the 3C905-CX by 3COM?
