It's even worse in my case - I *don't* have the knowledge (although I do
have the desire to learn) and I *don't* have lots of time... O;)

Don't be sorry! You've done more than I'd ever expect, so thanks for all
the effort! I will report on ACPI influence once I manage to test it
thoroughly; I realize it's a long shot, but I'll give it a try anyway. So,
