Writing an EEPROM word offset 19 value 0x0540.
Writing an EEPROM word offset 32 value 0x00d4.
  Use '-a' or '-aa' to show device registers,
      '-e' to show EEPROM contents, -ee for parsed contents,
   or '-m' or '-mm' to show MII management registers.


I probably could have simply shut the service off and restarted it to 
test, but I figured that I'd just reboot.

As soon as "Bringing up interface ETH0" happened, lo and behold, the 
yellow light on the switch turned on!

To test, I copied a 600 meg ISO image and it listed speeds well over 
10 mbit/sec.  Wonderful!
