3c905c hangs under high load, after a few too much work in irq messages

2 boxes have seen the same problem so far, under load (~100mbps saturation), 
we get a few too much work in irq messages (typically 2-6) and then the card 
is hung (we've waited for hours) and needs a down/up before it starts 
receiving anything again.  problem is reproducible.  please CC me if 
possible.
