GREAT! SuSE 8.1 is distributed with Vers LK1.1.16 of 3c59x, and I had the same problem on my IBM ThinkPad A21e. v0.99Xf and v0.99Y of 3c59x solved the problem. No need to boot Win XP first. Thanks.
