Are you certain that this is an actual 3Com designation, rather than a
name made up by the motherboard vendor? My guess is that you have a
common 3Com chip with a modified ID.
What is the PCI ID?
The PCI ID is a pair of four digit numbers, the vendor ID and device.
You can use 'lspci -v' or 'cat /proc/pci' to find this information.
