I don't see where it implies that it will work fine.
The web page notes "card ordering is set by the PCI BIOS".

It may be possible to change the names after the card is detected, but
that is a very bad idea.

If you must match an IP address to a specific MAC address, use the MAC
address rather than the name to identify that interface.
