Full/Half duplex - diagnostics not the same as reality - more

Just a note about the Cisco - was looking at the wrong switch (the
network diagram was wrong), and was getting confused with arp tables/mac
addresses... The 3c905b was indeed on the gigabit port of the 3500 I was
looking at... The gigabit port which connects to the Cisco4000 that the
3c905b was actually plugged into.

And the 4000 was configured to force the speed to 100/FD, hence the
conflict when autonegotiation was suggested by the 3c905B ;-)

There's till the question of why the diagnostics show something
different to reality however... I'm very curious about that
